Had this phone for a few months now, performance is fast and responsive no lag in any of the applications like those indicated by previous reviewer. I've owned phones made by nokia, samsung and motorola and this easily holds its own with them in terms of build quality and performance. It replaced my Nokia N95 handset and is a 300% improvement in terms of functionality. The touch screen makes web browsing a pleasure rather than a chore and if your carrier supports 3g web pages load pretty darn fast. My only complaint is that the cameras on both HTC phones i've owned have been very low spec. Fortunately i have a dedicated digital camera for photographs as even the 'so called' 5 megapixel phone cameras such as my N95 are good for nothing except token fun shots, the poor lens and over the top compression leaves alot to be desired. So contrary to the previous review if you want a pocket pc phone that has a smaller form factor than alot of the other PPC phones i think this is a good model. I installed an 8Gb micro SD card in mine and it happily plays full length movies in full screen with no graphics problems, in fact they look great and i also installed a sat nav program (co-pilot live) which it runs perfectly (bluetooth connection to external GPS receiver). if you are running windows vista you dont even need to install active sync as the phone shows up as an external storage device simply by plugging it in via usb. HTC have also added a nice finger friendy interface called touch flo, this allows you to use a few simple swipes of your finger to open and select your common applications and contacts, a great addition to the windows mobile 6 operating system, in fact i have found that i hardly ever need to take out the stylus at all. Definitely one of my best buys this year.

This phone and many other HTC phones like it are grossly underperforming 2 year old predecessors, due to its lack of ATI imageon driver. It had no D3D support so its like runing your PC in safe mode.
